The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Cheadle Hulme High School. The Laurus Trust has elected to follow Stockport MBC’s policy for admissions for 11-16 students. The co-ordination and administration of 11-16 student admissions is undertaken by the Local Authority.
(a) For September 2017 entry into Year 7
Local Authorities have a system of co-ordinated admissions. You will need to apply using the Local Authority form for the area in which you reside. If your child was born between 1st September 2005 and 31st August 2006 you need to apply for a secondary school place for the school year beginning September 2017 by 31st October 2016. If you live in Stockport you must apply using the on-line system available from 10th August 2016.

Each year the school arranges an Open Evening for prospective students and their parents/carers. The next Open Evening is to be held on 20th October 2016 commencing at 6pm.
Once we know which students are due to attend there is a series of events and meetings from May onwards to ease the transfer from primary school. These include: primary sports sessions, a New Intake evening for parents/carers and a taster day at the school when students will sample a range of lessons with the tutor group to which they will belong in September. In addition key staff visit the main primary schools to discuss transfer information with appropriate teachers.
(b) For mid-year admissions to all year groups
