Cheadle Hulme High School has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence in financial education, after successfully embedding the subject into its curriculum.
Working with education specialists from pfeg, the school has successfully completed the learning steps required to achieve Centre of Excellence status and help young people understand more about money and personal finance. Teachers are now trained to deliver effective personal finance lessons and learning activities designed to give pupils the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to manage their money.
The school, in Cheadle, was chosen to work towards becoming a Centre of Excellence in financial education by pfeg (Personal Finance Education Group, part of Young Enterprise). It is amongst 88 schools across the UK set to benefit from this programme, 40 of which are funded by Santander.
As a pfeg Centre of Excellence, the school will also now be supported in sharing its new expertise with other local schools.
