As an SLE I have been working closely with an Art department in a large 11-18 school to improve their delivery and outcomes of GCSE Art and Design within the areas of drawing and painting, ceramics, sculpture, textiles and graphics. My early career allowed me to support schools with their provision for Gifted and Talented. I spoke at the National Conference for G and T. However, since the launch of the Pupil Premium I have been involved in the strategic lead of whole school provision. Since joining Gorsey Bank, I have taught across the Primary age-phase and have worked extensively on the development of teaching and learning in English to improve pupil outcomes and raise levels of attainment at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, resulting in sustained outstanding pupil achievement in reading and writing at the end of EYFS, KS1&KS2 for the last 5 years. I teach across all 3 Key Stages, specialising in English Literature at A Level, which has allowed me to curriculum plan and consider transition between each stage of learning.

I have facilitated and liaised with a wide range of colleagues from other schools and supported them in the delivery of English, particularly at Key Stage 4. SLE Experience

I am a member of the local authority School Improvement Team. As part of this I have conducted literacy reviews of entire schools, providing evidence informed feedback to department and leadership teams. These reviews have then formed the baseline for action plans and improvement work from which impact can be measured.

I have over 15 years’ experience of working in education finance in supporting both LA schools and Academies.  I have held a number of roles in education finance, providing financial advice and support to a number of schools in a vast range of settings.  I am an ACCA qualified accountant and also hold a number of National College qualifications in school business management alongside a post graduate qualification in educational leadership.

SLE Experience
I have recently supported a Multi Academy Trust to establish financial structures and governance models that have enabled effective financial management.  This has included setting up a financial reporting system that filters through the trust and with this established a monthly management accounts reporting cycle.  This has also involved completing audits and due diligence in each of the schools within the trust and reporting this to the board.  An action plan was put in place and this was achieved, resulting in an improved external audit outcome at the end of the financial year.

I have been teaching Geography at CHHS since 2005 and have been Subject Leader since 2007. I have extensive experience in planning and delivering KS3 and KS4 Geography. My department has an excellent track record of KS4 results, 90% of students achieved A*-C in both 2014 and 2015 with almost half of the students attaining A/A*.

SLE Experience
I have previously worked with another secondary school in challenging circumstances to advise them on the effectiveness of KS4 planning and assessment. This involved diagnostic data analysis, a thorough review of the controlled assessment task and marking as well as the implementation of new strategies across KS3 and KS4 to prepare students for the Geography written papers.

I have been a teacher of Spanish and French at Cheadle Hulme High School since 2008 and in that time I have held a variety of positions of responsibility both within the faculty and as a Head of House. During my time at Cheadle Hulme I have helped to introduce Spanish at KS3; creating a department where French, German and Spanish are taught to GCSE level. I have also overseen the introduction of AS and A Level languages with the opening of our 6th form in 2013. The Languages Faculty has an excellent track record of results at GCSE and A Level with a particular strength in spoken language. Our department has a “Speak First” approach which has proved very successful in generating confidence and enthusiasm in our learners. I have delivered CPD on differentiation, oracy in MFL and other MFL-specific pedagogy. I have worked with a number of Heads of Languages on various aspects of MFL teaching including designing grammar-driven schemes of work, creating compelling teaching contexts and how to scaffold language learning.

Teaching Experience
I have been teaching PE for 16 years. During the past two years I have been Subject Leader for PE at CHHS. I have extensive experience teaching both KS3 and KS4 PE and more recently introduced AS/ A Level PE. I have increased the results in the dept. to above 90% for the last two years. I am NQT mentor in the dept. and have been subject mentor for trainee teachers for a number of years. I have recently completed my NPQML.

SLE Experience
I have worked with several schools in the past 12 months looking at raising attainment in PE. I have specifically focused on GCSE PE; looking at T & L, practical performance and exam skills. I have coached SL on effective moderation and standardisation within their dept. and effective use of data to improve performance.

Teaching Experience
As an RS specialist, I have experience of leading a team of RS teachers, particularly non-specialist teachers of the subject. I have experience in supporting teachers across the authority who teach RS as a non-specialist in order to improve behaviour and discipline in the classroom. I also am also subject leader for Citizenship and PSHE.

SLE Experience
I have supported schools across Stockport with behaviour and discipline which is specific to Humanities lessons. I have used questioning techniques to highlight how behaviour can be improved in the classroom.
Through my work as a hub and network leader I have enabled teachers to develop ‘behaviour for learning’ in the classroom. I regularly respond to requests for support from various teachers across the LA and Greater Manchester.

Teaching Experience
Since joining the leadership team at Cheadle Hulme High School I have working in a whole school capacity across several distinct but connected areas, forming the link between data and the classroom to affect best practice.
Prior to working at CHHS I worked within inner city Manchester. I am a trained facilitator for the OTP and ITP Programmes.

SLE Experience
During 2010-11 I worked regularly with an inner city school in Manchester, attending the school or meeting with senior staff approximately once a week. As part of the Greater Manchester Leadership Strategy I worked on developing a ‘data hub’. This was a project aimed at increasing the attainment of FSM students though effective tracking, monitoring and intervention of all students in a school. I currently support two schools in Greater Manchester working to improve attainment and progress in Science.

I am the Curriculum Leader for the Science faculty, teach all three Sciences, and am also Associate Assistant Principal Director of Standards, a remit that involves closely monitoring the performance of Key Stage 4 students across all subjects, identifying children at risk of underperforming and implementing intervention strategies to raise standards.

Teaching Experience
In my previous role as an AST I led a wide variety of CPD, including behaviour, both whole school and across Stockport authority for 4 years.  I have 9 years’ experience as a subject mentor and I have also led LA training for NQTs and RQTs including at the annual NQT conferences.  For the last three years I have held the position of Director of Science.

As an SLE my primary area of expertise is supporting and leading science departments with a variety of needs.  I have experience of working with a number of schools in my current role.

Teaching Experience

Since joining the leadership team at Wilmslow High School I have worked in a whole school capacity across a variety of areas, ensuring consistency and a systematic/innovative approach to leadership.
Prior to working at Wilmslow High School I have worked in both leading the curriculum (PE) and in a Pastoral capacity at Priestnall and Tytherington High Schools respectively. Whilst at Tytherington I also led on whole school behaviour approaches.
Further to this, I also have extensive experience of leading a wide variety of curriculum teams at both Tytherington and Wilmslow.

SLE Experience

As an SLE I design bespoke programmes to support schools in a variety of capacities. I have experience supporting the delivery to senior staff/Headteachers and other staff within the school setting. I can provide diagnostic days and do ‘deeper scrutiny’ into highlighted areas of need, including improving systems, launching new initiatives and improving outcomes on a number of levels for students.

I was then brought into a ‘fresh start’ school as Assistant head for teaching and learning/staff development. After 3 years I was appointed as Deputy Head for behaviour where I stayed for 3 years. In my current role I am responsible for Achievement/ Teaching and Learning and Behaviour.
